Violent behavior should be stopped early
Anger and intense debates are just the normal flow of healthy relationships. However, there are time when anger gets beyond what is healthy. We are talking about anger that results in threats or violence like hitting and hurting. This action is NOT healthy and should never be accepted or tolerated.
You need to realize that violent bahavior always begins with verbal threats and fairly minor incidents. Over time, these tend to become more violent. This is why a person MUST refuse to become a victim of violence at the very early stages.
The sad story is that violence is generally a learned behavior, so it is extremely important not to expose young children to this behavior. Here are some things that can help prevent violence from occurring:
- Seek nonviolent ways to resolve conflict
- If possible, try to avoid using physical discipline on your children
- Ensure that no one has access to firearms unless they know how to handle them safely
- Lock up firearms unloaded
- Do not keep loaded firearms in a home where there are children or someone with a substance abuse or alcohol problem

- Be alert to the warning signs of violence and take action early
You have to be aware that violence MUST be addressed early and not allowed to escalate. Why? Insect Bites
Now that warm weather is here, we should begin watching out for spider bites, tick bites, flea bites, and bee stings. Fortunately, most of these usually just cause some redness, swelling, and itching. While you have to be careful with this in children, these are generally harmless in the long run.

Brown Recluse – these are small brown spiders with long legs, and a white violin shaped mark on their backs. Their bites are very painful and can cause a blister with an open sore.
Someone who is bitten by one of these spiders should apply an icepack to the bite and immediately call a doctor. A person who is allergic to such bites should already have an emergency kit. If this is the case, use the kit and call a doctor immediately. Finally, do not scratch the infected area.
Sunburn Protection
That season is fast approaching where we begin to concern ourselves with those dreaded and painful sunburns. Unlike about 20-30 years ago, our knowledge about skincare is far different these days considering what the harmful rays of the sun can do to our skin long term. - Hydrate yourself adequately as sweating will help cool the skin.
- Restrict your sun exposure only to hours aside of 10 am to 2 pm as these are the sun’s rays are most harsh during these hours.
You will be surprised at how effective just a few precautions like these will have on the health of your skin by eliminating the potential for sunburn. Never forget how dangerous repeated exposure can be on your long term health.
